HOSPITALITY ROOM #932 TO OPEN EARLY
OUR CREW HOSPITALITY SUITE #932 WILL BE OPEN TO ALL EARLY ARRIVING
REGISTERED SHIPMATES beginning at 8PM Thursday night, March 9; serving a
Continental Breakfast beginning at 8AM Friday morning, at no extra charge,
for those Mates and their spouses or guests that arrive a day early.
It had been noted, that Mates who wanted to come in a day before Crew
festivities officially begin had no place to sit and rest their bones and
gab with the OTHER early birds.............so we decided to remedy that by
springing for one more night, AND some coffee and juice and baked goods for
Friday morning.
Early registration will be available in the Suite until we set up
Registration in the Sheraton Lobby Friday noon.
We are once again seeking SPONSORS for the Hospitality Suite this year, to
underwrite the cost of the room and the food and drink we will serve. The
$15 Registration Fee we charge each registered Mate and guest does not come
close to handling the total overhead.
IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND FOR SOME REASON, AND YOU WANT TO BE A SPONSOR, YOU CAN
DO SO WITH A DONATION OF $100 OR MORE, making your check payable to "The
Crew", and mailing it to me at 900 S. Washington Street, Suite G-2, Falls
Church, VA 22046.
OR, WHETHER YOU PLAN TO ATTEND OR NOT, YOU MAY WANT TO HONOR A FELLOW
SHIPMATE OR JAYCEE FROM THE PAST, BY MAKING A CONTRIBUTION IN HIS (OR HER)
NAME.
AS LAST YEAR IN DAYTONA BEACH, recognition will be afforded you and your
Honoree in the official Reunion Program, as well as on a display board in
our Hospitality Suite. Any donated funds not used in hosting the Hospitality
Suite will go into the S.S.Fellowship's strong box, to be used to publish
future issues of THE LOG.
LAST YEAR WE WERE SURPRISED WITH GENEROUS SPONSORS LIKE SERVOTRONICS (Mate
Nick Trbovich $1,000) and eAUTOCLAIM.COM (Mates Eric Seidel John Prozinski,
and Jeff Dickson $500), and individual Sponsors Mates Moton Crockett, Roy
Doctofsky, Paul Pendorf, Tom Ritter, Andy Tobin, Dave Macarthy, Eugene
Pheiffer, Kim Newlin, Ray Noxsel, and Mike Harris.
THIS YEAR WE ARE OFF TO A SLOW START, WITH "OLD FAITHFUL" MATE MOTON
CROCKETT III (Austin, TX)AGAIN LEADING OFF. (There's something about those
Texans that makes them jump in the water when the rest of us are
sticking our toe in it).
