AHOY, MATES!
YOU ARE REQUESTED TO TAKE PART IN OUR SATURDAY MORNING PROGRAM, EVEN THOUGH
YOU CAN'T BE WITH US!
BUT YOU HAVE TO RESPOND TO THIS BULLETIN BEFORE THE REUNION WEEKEND BEGINS,
TO BE INCLUDED. Just hit "REPLY" and give us as brief a response as
possible; a tough order for most of our Mates!
SATURDAY MORNING, MARCH 11, 2006
9:30-10:30AM
PANEL OF MATES,
including MATES WAYNE FIELD, JEFF DAVIS, ED TRAVOLO, JOHN HOLLAND, MOTON
CROCKETT, GEORGE FRASER AND OTHERS, will lead a discussion about their
recollections of MATE JOHN ARMBRUSTER, the
Founder in 1931 of THE CREW, on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of
THE CREW. MATE JOHN'S daughter PRISCILLA ARMBRUSTER HOEL has sent
what she remembers about the Jaycees and the beginnings of THE CREW,
in those days. And so has our Canadian MATE, ROSS SMYTH.
YOU CAN ADD YOUR MEMORIES emailing me!
10:30-11:30AM
ANOTHER PANEL OF MATES
will lead a discussion entitled "If I were President of the US Jaycees
today, I would..........". The Panel will include many of the members of the
previous hours panel, but will also including newer members of THE CREW,
such as MATES BILL ROBERTSON, EV WERNESS, JIM WARREN, A.J. MORTON, AND
RAY NOXSEL. Members of the current or Immediate Past US Jaycees
Executive Boards will be invited to listen in as panel members, including
NEWER MATES ED HART(MO) AND CALVIN BAERVELDT (MD), current President of
the USJCI Senate and probable incoming President of the same organization,
respectively, join to discuss solutions to the problems the US Jaycees are
facing today.
AND HERE IS WHERE YOU CAN HELP BY OFFERING YOUR ASSISTANCE IN THE WAY OF
POSITIVE, CONSTRUCTIVE SUGGESTIONS.
IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, email me and send us YOUR solution. None
of us want to see our beloved organization disappear in the years to come,
so what do YOU think is the answer?
Do you think that THE CREW should offer to help in some way?
Current US JAYCEES
PRESIDENT LISA PARRISH HAS BEEN INVITED TO ATTEND, and whether she does
or not, your suggestions and the collective suggestions of the panel's
discussion's, will be handed to her.
