PASSING OF CREW MEMBERS:
- CREW MEMBERS KEN HOLVENSTOT AND PETE
BALDWIN
It's always a sad duty to report on the passing of friends and Shipmates
in The Crew. These wer two Shipmates from "the old days" when Jaycee
membership hung around a half-million nationwide, in every state and US
possession, and in every nook and cranny and wide spot in the road.
MATES KEN (Iowa) AND PETE (Michigan)were two from that era.
MATE PETE BALDWIN HAS BEEN GONE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, but according to MATE
KEN'S son D.J., MATE KEN just passed away on December 3rd after an
extended illness. Services will be at 11AM on Monday, December 10
in the Chapel of Memories at Cedar Memorial in Cedar Rapids, IA. That
evening between 5:30PM and 7PM there will be a gathering for those that
wish to call on the family at The Family Center at Cedar Memorial.

I did not get details on MATE PETE BALDWIN's burial, but I know Norma
would appreciate a note at home at 1036 Burns Ave, Howell, MI 48843. MATE
PETE and NORMA were regulars at Crew Reunions until the last few
years, and we will miss him. I know that he was on call with the Michigan
Jaycees, and was quick to accept an invitation to help them in whatever
they asked him to do, until very recently.

on MATE KEN'S son D.J.'s announcement, and to MATE MARY SAWYER for making
sure I got the word.
